Can a therapeutic ultrasound cause problems? What exactly does it do?Had a therapuetic ultrasound from chiropractor. my shoulder and arm area kept flinching during treatment. it felt wierd. the next day i felt pain in my shoulder area. felt like arthritis.

Can this therapeutic ultrasound make problems worse?

Ultrasound treatments are just sound waves stimulating the muscles and circulation. The discomfort may be stemming from the areas rushing blood to the area to begin the healing process.

I'd definitely ask your chiropractor about it to be sure, though.
