Have terrible ankle pain for about a yr. Arthritis meds are not working. What do you think it can be.?Dr.s assume its Rheumatoid Arthritis but Methotrexate and Enbrel are not working. Anyone have the same symptoms and what alternative reasons for the pain were found.
Not obese, bone scan and x-rays show nothing abnormal except for the inflamation around the ankles.

I would suggest xrays and further exploration, it is often easy to just label pain as elements of ageing, but it could be very serious. A friend of my mothers had suffered like this with her toes, told the same thing ended up her toes had been broken. If you are not getting relief insist on a second opinion, further exploration and keep going until you find a solution....best wishes!

Without a medical history or other info (are you obese?)
it is hard to tell. Many people with chronic pain get good relief from taking monavie juice (info on request).
