I'm diagnosed positive to ANA screen and also my C-reactive protein is 10x more than normal.?The problem started with me waking up with an aching right ankle 3 weeks ago but I'm sure that I did not twisted it. Just ignore the ache as it's not there all the time and the swelling got worse. Consulted GP 1 week later and was told that it should be a twisted ankle though I told her that my left ankle is starting to ache too. Was given some medication to apply but there was no progress. Later on, the left ankle started to swell and i noticed 3 nodules appearing on my outer left leg near to the ankle. Was very worried as my knees and wrists started to ache and was running a fever. Search online and found that all these symptoms seem to point to rheumatoid arthritis.
Consulted a specialist, did a blood test and results shown that my CRP is 10x more than normal and I'm tested +ve to ANA screen, RA is -ve. Doc prescribed celebrex and the swelling subsided slightly till 3 days ago, rashes and hives started appearing all over my face, neck and chest after taking the medication for ~ 10 days. Was told to stop medication and to do a blood test 2 weeks later to check whether does my CRP reading drops as high reading could be related to the inflammation of the ankles. As I can't take the anti-inflammation medication, my ankles and my wrists are feeling the ache. Doc said I don't need to take other medication. Can anyone advise? Thks.

I would see a rheumatologist. They will give you a complete exam and then go over you bloodwork. I have RA and was diagnosed 18 months ago. You need to get the right diagnoses and start to feel better so you can live your life.
